Yorkshire Collie Club

Saturday 1st February 2003

The Yorkshire Collie Club held an Open Show at Eggborough Village Hall.

Many Thanks to Officials & Committee for a well organised show and to those exhibitors who braved the prospect of inclement weather.

B.I.S. was Mrs Hassock's puppy Camanna Cindy Crawford. 

R.B.I.S. was Mr & Mrs Shutt's Tapena Taking Time.

All exhibits were clean (including teeth) and of good temperament.Some exhibits could have paid closer attention to the trimming of nails, feet and hocks.

J.D. 4(1)1Shutt's Tapena Taking Time. Sable dog with sweet expression yet still very masculine. Good reach of neck & back. Correctly set on tail of good length. Moved freely. Coat of correct texture and well groomed. Most certainly had that 'LOOK AT ME' factor in the challenge for B.D. &R.B.I.S.

2Scott's Colausco Caring Highlander. Similar comments to 1 apply but for me did not have the sweetness of eye.

S.Y.D.4(2)1Sargaent's Coarhabeg Making Waves. B/M of good colour who needs to settle a little. Moved freely. Stood on well - knuckled feet. Did enough to win this class.

2Annable's Avisette Batchelor Boy. Sable. Not the movement of 1. Would have preferred a tighter ear set.

Graduate 2

1Raffell's Ileyda Kiss and Tell Raffel. Tri who has matured since I last saw him. Clean head, sweet eye and could use his ears. Tail of correct length. Moved well. Hocks need attention.

1Vessey's Danfabek Dust Till Dawn at Josunee. A lot to like about this one. Sweet expression, neat well placed ears, good reach of neck. Coat of rich colour and harsh texture. Stood 4 square and moved with drive. R.B.D.

1Hutchinson's Robroz Rupert Bear -5 yr oldS/W. Balanced head, standing 4 square. Used his ears to advantage. Responsive to handler.

2Sargaent's Coarhabeg Othello. Beginning to show his age a little. Good muscle tone allowing him to move freely. Very responsive to handler.

1Kaye's Danfebek Sheer Devil. 8 mth tri. Thought this baby really gorgeous. Jet black coat of correct texture with dense undercoat. Sweetest of eyes and expression. Ears right on top which she could use to advantage. Lovely make & shape. Moved well. A bright future predicted.

Puppy 5(4)

1Hassock's Camanna Cindy Crawford. What a cracker! Rich sable with lovely shape & outline. Sweetest of almond shaped eyes giving a mouth-watering expression. Combined with nicely moulded foreface & correct ear placement. An abundance of coat that was groomed to perfection. Moved with purpose & drive. Although a bit of a fidget, her handler knew how to harness this to get the best from her. A quality bitch who should not be long in getting her title. B.I.S & B.P.I.S.

Junior 3(1)

1Shutt's Tapena Taffeta. Sable sister to B.D. Well placed eyes & ears giving sweet feminine expression. Responded well to handler. Looked a picture standing on neat,well knuckled feet. Moved positively. Well presented in lovely coat & condition. Res. B.B.

2Davies -Sachenda Rockin'Robyn at Sabiha. Not the sweetness or movement of 1. Good length of tail. At that in- between stage that should improve with age.

1Hutchinson's Avisette Dreaming of Crackenedge. Good make & shape. Ears right on top. Dark eye, sweet expression. Good bone & shown in lovely coat & condition. Moved well.

2Annabel's Avisette Theme for a Dream. Sable, litter sister to 1. Similar comments apply. Preferred the expression of 1.

1Hassock's Mallicot Make Believe at Camanna. Mother of B.I.S. winner & another born show girl. Well presented sable. Lovely feminine head with sweet eye & correct ear set. Well filled foreface giving that desired expression. Good length of tail & profuse coat. Moved well.

2Toplis - Lynaire Touch of Ice at Jopium. B/M Well broken colour. Moved O.K. 

3Sargaent's Coarhabeg Gentle Zephyr.
